Gas Credit Cards – A Great Thing for New Drivers

So you have a new driver in the house?  Isn’t it nice to be able to send them to fill up the car with gas and get one of those old chores off your plate?

As luck would have it you don’t have the cash in your wallet and you don’t want to give your son or daughter your credit or debit card to use at the pump.  So what is to be done?

To the rescue come some great fuel only credit card options.  Remember the good ole days when nearly every gas company had gas cards?  It’s not quite like that any longer but there are still some great options available.

It’s hard to understate the convenience of paying at the pump and having a gas credit card can ensure that you get to partake in that convenience.  There are those times when we’re lucky to find an open pump and then there is a long line inside that you must stand in to prepay if you’re going to pay with cash.  As you’re waiting in line you observe others who pull right up to the pump, slide their card through the reader, fill up and leave.

Well, wait in line no more!  Thanks to some sensible options from the likes of Valero, Sunoco and Marathon gas fill-ups don’t have to be a budget killer.  You can choose your due date, manage your account online, and yes, pay at the pump!  Rejoice!

As stated earlier these cards work great for students and new drivers too.  Whether you get the prepaid gas card option or a card with a sensible limit either is a great solution.  Now you don’t have to give your credit card, debit card or PIN to your kid so that they can go fill your car with gas.
